World Snooker Coaching

I have been a Level 2 World Snooker Coach since 2012, shortly after a major revamp of the coaching scheme, headed up by Terry Griffiths. I qualified after a course taught by Terry and Steve Davis. There are now many coaches in the group from all around the world, some of which are to be found at all major tournaments, running the Cue Zone, where members of the public can try their hand at snooker. Many people are amazed at how big a snooker table is!

Within the umbrella of World Snooker, all participants are recognised, including Disabled Billiards and Snooker, Women’s Snooker and Seniors. Each of these groups are supported, with more tournaments and open events aimed at increasing participation. Again, coaches are in attendance  at such events. ​All coaches are DBS checked and trained in all aspects of safeguarding, diversity and mental health.
